Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Brendan Carr is announcing final rules that would limit the agency’s recognition of Test Labs to those located in the U.S. or in countries that grant U.S. labs reciprocal recognition, Breitbart News exclusively learned.
\n\nThe U.S. has long abandoned the principles of trade reciprocity but is moving back to a more fair approach under President Trump’s leadership, with the FCC addressing Test Labs in nations that lack reciprocal agreements. As a result of previous practices, the majority of testing has been offshored to non-Reciprocal Economies, making it more difficult for the FCC to conduct proper oversight.
\n\nOn Wednesday, Carr is expected to offer a final rule that would put an end to the unfair trading practices in this respect. If the rule is adopted at the meeting later this month, it would go into place December 1, 2028, meaning “testing, certifying, and accreditation” activities would have to occur in the U.S. or a Reciprocal Economy — not a non-Reciprocal Economy.
